Today is the 40th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade and I am finally getting off my rump to participate in NARAL’s Blog for Choice Day. They ask that bloggers share why they are pro-choice so here goes:
I believe in women’s abilities to make decisions about their bodies.
And thats it.
To quote the always quotable Ani DiFranco: “to split yourself in two is the most radical thing you can do. So if that shit aint up to you, then you simply are not free”.
I was asked if being a mom now changed my stance. It hasn’t.
You would think I would have more to say, but I don’t. Other than I think it is an outrage that after 40 years we are still having this same argument.
